President Davis reflects on MLK's legacy ahead of holiday

"I hope that as we honor him, we take steps in our own lives to be inspired by who he was, and find the ways that we can make his work not something just in the past, but still alive today," he said. "I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. is one of America's greatest citizens — not just one of America's greatest Black citizens. Dr. King, more than any other person in the 20th century, changed the course of this country — why would we not honor that as a university community?"
